Polyether Ether Ketone (PEEK) PEEK is a semicrystalline thermoplastic with excellent mechanical and chemical resistance properties that are retained at high continuous service temperatures. PEEK is one of the highest performing engineering thermoplastics in the world. PEEK is used to manufacture parts for the aerospace, automotive, oil and gas and medical industries. The material is approved according to EN ISO 10993-1, -5 and -12*, UN-ECE R.118.03 (fire behaviour of materials in buses) and meets the NORSOK M 710 requirements.
In 3D printing (also called Additive Manufacturing) PEEK is mainly to replace polymer and metal components in aircraft, parts for machine buidling, some specialized automotive appications and in customized prosthetics such as cranial implants. Our customers have used our PEEK materials to 3D print: aircraft parts, parts for industrial machinery, parts for pumps, parts for experimental aircraft, parts for the space industry and for research into future medical, aviation and space use for PEEK.
Feedback from our customers indicated that PEEK was a difficult material to 3D print. PEEK requires excellent thermal control of your build chamber during 3D printing. Many high-temperature 3D printers are currently simply not up to the task and the learning curve is steep for new users. We tested most commercially viable grades of PEEK to determine how they performed in terms of printability and mechanical qualities of printed parts. We normally make only pure materials at 3D4 Makers without any additives. In this case, we saw that additives could be implemented with PEEK in order to improve the flow and printability of the material as well as the quality of built parts. Through working with our OEM and industrial partners we've managed to now create Luvocom® 3F PEEK 9581 Filament, the first PEEK filament made specifically for FDM 3D Printing (also called material extrusion or FFF).
We hope that this material will make it easier for companies to truly manufacture with PEEK. We will continue to offer our regular PEEK material in conjunction with Luvocom® 3F PEEK 9581.
The 3D4MAKERS Luvocom® 3F PEEK 9581 Filament has unique properties because it does not come into contact with water during the production process and is directly packaged in a vacuum packaging.
Luvocom 3F PEEK 9581 Filament particularly suitable for usage in FDM and FFF 3D printers. The material has an excellent adhesion between layers which results in great improvement of the impact resistance, strength, durability and the printing process.

To get the best results while printing we advise you to keep the 3D printer in a room where there is hardly any draft and/or temperature fluctuations. Keep the 3D printer out of the sun. This cannot be a room where people sleep.
When the 3D printer is not being used it is important to keep the 3D4MAKERS Luvocom® 3F PEEK 9581 Filament in a bag and stored in a cool, dry and dark place until it is used again.
